Chef Mel is a well-rounded private chef who kicked off her culinary journey working in some of the best kitchens in NYC including Wallse, serving up Michelin-star modern Austrian cuisine, to The Post Office Whiskey Bar, where she began to develop a lovefor the world of food and beverage pairings. She then migrated to the Pacific Northwest where she further culled her penchant for rustic, elegant & seasonally inspired food while working in the crossover worlds of wine and sustainable farming. Her time in the Pacific Northwest, has indelibly shaped her approach to creating exquisite, farm-to-table cuisine.

Mel recently found home in Buffalo, where she also works at Paradise Wine Shop, and she's excited to share her farm-focused food and wine world knowledge with our clients. Her menus are simple yet elevated, interesting and delightfully unexpected, and always beautifully plated.

Flavor is her superpower, which she delivers through a lot of thoughtfulness and creativity, along with a little bit of science! Mel is happy to assist with a wine pairing for your next dinner with her - and she also serves up an unforgettable brunch if that's more your scene.
